Yeah!!! It is Friday and the weekend is just getting started… I love it when I get to plan a weekend at home with my family. I usually travel weekends, but not this weekend. It’s Father’s Day weekend and I have planned to have a great time. I do hope that all of you out there in cyber space are planning something wonderful for the fathers in your lives.
My children and I are planning a BBQ with all the fixings for the big day. My daughter has already made her gift and is in the process of creating the perfect card to go with. She is such a little artist. So if you have some plans that you would like to share, drop me a note and let me know all about them.
It’s Friday, so I am going to keep this short and sweet. Today’s word of the day comes to us from a father and good friend, Travis J. of Minneapolis, MN. He has submitted the word “muse”.
Our definition comes to us from our online source at www.thefreedictionary.com
Muse n.
1. Greek Mythology Any of the nine daughters of Mnemosyne and Zeus, each of whom presided over a different art or science.
2. a. A guiding spirit. b. A source of inspiration.
3. A poet.
What a beautiful word. It’s not a word you would see in any of my writing, but it should have a better standing in our daily vocabulary. Yet I know that in today’s society we tend to use words of slang more often than words of beauty. Muse is one of those words that you would find in a book like Lady Chatterley’s Lover by D.H. Lawrence. It is a book of beauty and devotion.
I write for pure entertainment, excitement, adventure and drama. I love the book Lady Chatterley’s Lover. I always get so sentimental when I read it, but when it comes to today’s readers it is hard for them to grasp the true meaning of the book before they get bored and set it aside. That is why a stimulating book like the Prime Immortal Series gets such great reviews in today’s market. Time changes all things, even the entertainment that we chose to enjoy.
Well folks, that’s all I have for today. Take the time to enjoy your weekend and say a happy heartfelt Father’s Day to all who may be included in this wonderful celebration.
Until the next time, we chat again… remember to Read On!!!
