Word of the Day: Procrastination

“It is a wonderful day in the neighborhood, a wonderful day in the neighborhood, will you be mine, say you’ll be mine, won’t you be my neighbor?”

Hi everyone… That was just a little bit of Mr. Roger’s neighborhood theme song.  I know my readers are young, but please don’t let me be the only one who knows who Mr. Rogers from PBS is!

It is a beautiful day with the sun shining and the birds singing. I can almost feel Spring in the air…  We just need a little more green on the ground and “wahla” Spring is here…

Okay, some of you are going to say I am a little too perky for a Thursday.  However, I will have to respectfully disagree.  It’s never a good sign when you are picking on the happy person, so grab a jacket, step outside, take in a deep breath and just enjoy the beauty of this planet… Remember what you put out there comes back, so be happy and embrace that perky person.  They may just be your salvation for the day…

All right people, enough of that huggy, squishy stuff; let’s get down to business.  Yes huggy and squishy are words that I use.  Especially when I am in the mood to be a little silly and today is the day to be silly.  It keeps you young, people, so have fun…

Today’s word of the day comes to us from Norma in Peoria, AZ.  She has submitted the word procrastinate as our word for the day.

Our definition comes from our online source at www.thefreedictionary.com
pro·cras·ti·nate  (pr-krst-nt, pr-)
v. pro·cras·ti·nat·ed, pro·cras·ti·nat·ing, pro·cras·ti·nates
v.intr.
To put off doing something, especially out of habitual carelessness or laziness.
To postpone or delay needlessly.

Well, I am sure we have all done our fair share of procrastinating.  I know that I have.  But in my defense, it is only on the things I really don’t want to do, such as dusting.  Yuck!  That is the worse job ever.  And, of course, there is always laundry.  I would never be a good maid.  Oh well, we can’t all be perfect.

What are some of the things that you procrastinate over?  Tell me here on the blog or at the Prime Immortal Facebook fan page and we can compare notes.  Who knows, maybe I procrastinate over the same things you do.  Like taxes.  Even a bigger Yuck!!!!

That’s it for now.  Check out the new contests online and remember to share them with your friends.  All my best and until we chat again… Read On!!!
